First Post… pt 2

So I had my first “bad” experience with a Comcast representative. Although, to be fair it was me calling him to tell him that we were dropping our service through Comcast. Of course he offered me a promotional rate that would be comparable to what we were paying for Qwest… I told him that we had already signed up, and I just needed to discontinue our service with him.
He then started asking about the pricing from Qwest… he wanted to know exactly what we were getting and for how much. I wasn’t really in the mood to spend any more time on the phone with him than I had to, so I was the one that probably started being snippy. However, he shouldn’t have followed suit. Not if he really valued his job anyway.
My wife worked for Sprint a while back and I think she had some of the same experiences (even though she wasn’t in the department that was supposed to handle “customers” like me). I just remember a couple times in which she came home extremely upset at “stupid customers” (again, like me) that got upset with her… and she got upset with them… the manager of course was indeed “monitoring the call” and then got upset at her. It was a ton of fun, lemme tell you.
Anyway. I’m happy to be done with Comcast. The DSL is a bit slower at times (specifically when we are downloading), and I haven’t yet had a chance to really look at the TV… but so far I have been pleased (Other than the sub-contractor idiots who decided to ignore my request to install the dish on the roof and instead put it on the patio/deck that we are planning on renovating this summer… another gripe for another day).
